I’m not sure, how to start my experience as a mother whose baby was suffering with severe hypospadias. It’s a congenital birth defect and the reason for this is not known.I did a little amount of research on internet about severe Hypospadias repair and came to know that - Dr.Chandrashekaram is the one who do enormous surgeries in same area, in Hyderabad. At first, we thought to consult different doctors for the opinion on procedure and the stages of surgery. We were not sure whether we are consulting correct doctor. To our luck we consulted only Dr.Chandrashekaram sir, and decided to go ahead with him.

The hospitality he shows towards parents cannot be explained in words. He gives parents the moral support and confidence. When we met him, he told us that- the issue can be corrected in a single stage and he totally explained about how the surgery procedure goes. He answers each and every question of parents with at most care and patience.

My son went through surgery exactly one year before and the issue is corrected in a single stage and he recovered very well. Chandrashekaram sir was available over phone when required and in need. This was the BEST THING.

I would take this opportunity to thank Dr.Chandrashekaram sir for making my family happiest today and suggest all parents whose babies are suffering with Hypospadias to meet up/consult him.

My Son was born with a congenital birth defect - Hypospadias. I am aware of the fact that repair is done by surgery. I have searched in google and gone through the hypospadias repair. Then, at the age of 2yrs for my kid, we decided that my son has to undergo surgery. Then,again, I started searching for pediatric surgeons. I posted in classifieds of MNC's. While searching in google, I came across this link. Then, I started to know more about Dr.Sekharam Sir by reading some of his papers on Hypospadias repair. But still, I was not sure whether I am approaching the right surgeon. I felt that if somebody has posted review comments, it would be of great help for troubled parents. I had taken appointment on a fine-Saturday. Dr.Sekharam was very open, patient and answered all our queries and he had given moral strength and confidence. Finally, on Apr 16,2012, surgery was performed and it was successful. Now, its been 3 weeks and my son has recovered very fast and results, healing was excellent.

Moreover, website is very cognitive such that a person from non-medical background can grasp the thing. We are very much impressed with Dr.Sekharam and would recommend this surgeon for troubled parents. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr.Sekharam and urge the parents to consult pediatrc surgeon for kids but not adults surgeon.

Last but not least, One has to take care of three things while your kid has to undergo any surgery; first is surgeon, second is surgeon and third is surgeon. As an experienced mother, I would say that, Dr.Sekharam is the best suited for the above".

First of all we would like to say Very Much Thanks to Dr.Chandrasekharam who did my Son’s Mid Penile Hypospadias Operation in a Single Stage on 3-Jan 2014 at the age of 2 year. My Son was born with a congenital birth defect - Hypospadias. I am aware of the fact that repair is done by surgery. I have searched in google. I had visited 6 different Pediatric surgeon/Urologist doctor for consultantion at Ahmedabad and Bangalore. But nobody had confidence to do the Surgery in a Single Stage Operation. But When I came to know about Dr.Chandrasekharam, I did lot of research about him and finally decided to go to Hyderabad from Bangalore for consulting Dr Chandrasekharam. He did initial check up of My Son and informed us that operation will be done by Single stage only with a high success (95% success in one operation). Dr.Sekharam was very open, patient and answered all our queries and he had given moral strength and confidence. Because of Confidence in Dr Sekharam, we had decided to go for operation at Hyderabad after one month after having proper planning. We got admitted on 3-Jan-2014 and operated on the same day. After the operation, doctor met us for 20 to 25 min and informed that operation is successful; Doctor had given detailed description very calmly about operation and After- operation precautions. Even After discharge Dr.Chandrasekharam was contacting us and enquiring us about our son’s recovery. As we went to Hyderabad from Bangalore, Dr Sekharam was regularly in touch with us and cleared all doubts that we had. Now after more than six months of Operation, My Son is perfectly OK and does not have any kind of problems.

I would suggest to do Hypospadias operation within 1 year of Age as after that it is very hard for the Parents to handle kids.

Moreover, Dr Sekharam’s Website is very cognitive such that a person from non-medical background can grasp the things. We are very much Impressed with Dr.Chandrasekharam and would recommend this surgeon for Hypospadias Repair. He is the BEST!!!.

I am Sridhar Dittakavi (father of Master. ArihantManas) who underwent Hypospadias repair successfully on 5th Dec 2012. I want to give a brief Testimonial as a token of gratitude.My Son ArihantManas has born with a congenital birth defect - Hypospadias. we came to know that the repair is done by surgery. Initially we have taken our son for consultation of Hypospadias in bangalore and the surgeon informed us that it would be corrected in 3 stages and it should be done at the age of 1 year and more. Initially we had a perception of surgery that boy will suffer with pain post surgery etc. but later we realized that our perception is wrong. This is how Dr.Chandrasekharam sir has operated. Thank yo so much Sir.

Importantly after we consulted Dr.Chadrasekharam and we did not had any mental tension on the surgery and we were confident that our child is in safe hands of Dr.Chandrasekharam..Now its been 3 weeks my son got operated and he is doing extremely good doing all his regular activities, playing and he is very active. Our Special thanks to Dr.Chandrasekharam for making our kid healthier.

I am vidya Sagar,I would like to share my feelings & experiences about Hypospadias.

My brother had moderately severe Hypospadias problem. He was passing urine from the undersurface of the lower part of his penis. We were told that this is called penoscrotal hypospadias. Actually it was better to go for Hypospadias repair in childhood only. But due to some economical issues and due to lack of knowledge on Hypospadias, his surgery was delayed.

When my brother was 14 years old, we went for surgery. The doctors whom we approached told that he would require two operations to correct the defect. My brother went to first surgery at the age of 14, second one was at the age 15. However, after the 2nd operation, my brother was passing urine from 2 places, both on the undersurface of the penis. The surgeons told us that due to some problem, the operation had failed, and one more operation had to be done. Thus, my brother underwent 3rd operation at the age of 16. But after the 3rd surgery, there were more problems; his penis was looking very bad and he was still passing urine from 2 holes below, but nothing from from the front of the penis.

After 3rd surgery failed, we went to another doctor, there 4th surgery at the age of 19 years. This one also failed. When we asked the doctor they said that nothing more can be done and he had to live like that. After this failure my brother was very much disappointed. He can’t able to concentrate on studies, not able to meet his friends and can’t able to urinate public places also. He started feeling like he was different from others by thinking about Hypospadias. We are very much disappointed and worried when thinking about his future. At that time we have several doubts in our mind like, in future by doing surgery will it corrected or not (because age is increasing). Otherwise if it is like this is it ok for marriage or not, but we don’t have answers for these questions and nobody was able to tell (because most of the people don’t have idea about hypospadias). We are in full of confusion and in depression and we don’t know where we have to go for better treatment and which person we have to meet.

One day when I am in discussion with my boss (in my office) about personal issues regarding my brother Hypospadias problem, he told me about Dr.VVSChandraSekharamgaru who is an expert in pediatric surgery, pediatric urology and hypospadias surgery. It so happened that my boss’s son also had hypospadias which was repaired in a single operation by Dr Chandrasekharam with excellent result. Thus, my boss had tremendous confidence in Dr Chandrasekharam, so he referred me to sir. After consulting Dr.Chandrsekharamgaru, even though it was critical and challenging surgery, he came forward to do surgery to my brother at the age of 23. Even though this is a most difficult case, Dr Chandrasekharam could correct the entire problem in 1 surgery; this surgery took nearly 3-4 hrs. The urinary catheter was kept for 14 days. After the catheter was removed, my brother passed urine normally in a single stream from the tip of his penis and his penis was straight.

Now my brother has completed 1year after the surgery. Now every thing ok for my brother .No leakage was observed when passing urine. His penis is actually looking like a normal penis without the front skin. My brother and my whole family in full of happiness. We are very much thankful to Dr.Chandrshekaramgaru . He given new life to my brother. If we known about Dr.Chandrashekaramgaru in earlier years we will not face this much problems. This is due to lack of knowledge on Hypospadias. One thing I would like made it clear to people who are suffering from several diseases, don’t feel shy to discuss about issues with well-wishers and friends. With discussions it will help a lot just like in brother problem.

I think my note will help to some people. After reading my note if atleastone was person is benefited, I will be happy.

Very very thanks to Dr.Chandrashekaramgaru for doing this surgery with great effort. In Andhra Pradesh, nobody come forward to do my brother’s case after 4 failed surgeries. Dr.Chandrashekaramgaru came forward and made it success to my brother at the age of 23. Thank you sir.

My son suffered hell because of poor hypospadias operation which resulted in failure. Dr VVS Chandrasekharam corrected it & gave an excellent result & saved our family

My Son was born with a congenital birth defect – Hypospadias. We were not aware of Hypospadias in the beginning and even the regular pediatrician also bluffed us that it is a minor issue and can be rectified with small surgery.Finally my son underwent the surgery for the first time in a children’s hospital on July 30th 2011 with a pediatric surgeon. It’s our bad luck to say that the surgery got failed on the second day itself and my son literally faced lots and lots of problems, in other words he has seen hell in the hospital.

We did not understand the situation going on and finally my son got discharged after 11 days by seeing hell and back to home. After 3 months they revealed that the surgery got failed and has to be repeated again and started telling again that it’s a small surgery and will be surely rectified for the second time. Finally we came to know that Hypospadias is a major surgery and has to be operated with a famous related surgeon and Why I have been explained all the above is to aware the parents of kids with Hypospadias that it is not a minor surgery which is to be operated with a normal pediatric surgeon or a urologist or some other XYZ who does not know what exactly it is. So kindly Parents please don’t believe what all others say. We came to conclusion that my son has to be operated again and started searching in Google for a famous pediatric surgeon who is expertise in treating Hypospadias. After searching for long time we came to know about Dr.Chandrasekaram Sir and visited him for the first time in October 2011 and explained everything what all happened to my son. Doctor also felt very sad by seeingmysons pathetic condition and gave us moral support, strength and lots of confidence which we have lost completely earlier. Since then we have been approaching Dr.Chandrasekaram Sir and followed the suggestions given by him.

Finally my son got re- operated on April 11, 2012 successfully and reached home on 3rd day itself. Really we kept on thinking that how to manage my son this time as he had very bad experience in the 1st surgery, but it’s awesome and he is very active and never felt that he got operated and he is ready to walk on 2nd day itself. The way Dr.Chandrasekaram Sir operated is totally different and very advanced where others don’t know and are following same old processes even today. Now it’s been one month since surgery and my son has got recovered very well and excellent by the grace of Dr.Chandrasekaram Sir. As we are experienced parents,We would like to request, urge the parents of kids suffering with Hypospadias to consult Dr.Chandrasekaram Sir as he is the one of the best doctor in India to do Hypospadias surgery and get the best treatment done and please, please don’t face the problems faced by us. I would like to thank again and again Dr.Chandrasekaram Sir for giving us best treatment and making my entire family happy today.

My son got operated due to hypospadias on April 11 ,2012 and passed one year today without having any issues or side effects and seems to be like a normal boy.
